I suspect that the Mac you see on shelves is what is still in the supply line. Plans are solidly to move to no age statement releases. Just takes time as there was a vast amount produced with age statements. Moreover, where you live maybe the Mac doesn't move as fast.

I hope the surgery was a complete success and toast you to your health next time i have a wee dram. My New Year's resolution was to drink more scotch. More accurately, to begin drinking scotch. I must say this is been my best New Year's resolution yet. It has led to many interesting conversations throughout the year. Keep up the great work. By the way, Craggenmore has been my favorite. I guess I have a hard time forgetting my first. (The move toward NAS releases at Bruichladdich is particularly depressing to me.) The only NAS I've purchased is Talisker Storm. It's pleasant enough, but not nearly as interesting as the 10 year old. Ridiculously, it's also more expensive.

Keep up the good work, and happy holidays.

- JoshAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176940657289976265.post-9947914999610595382014-12-15T17:00:01.459-04:002014-12-15T17:00:01.459-04:00I guess NAS is a trend that is only expanding. In contrast to family owned distilleries (Glenfarclas, Springbank, and Glenfiddich) its managers seem to be behaving more like those of multinational corporations - i.e. more interested in their own short-term goals than the long-term success of the distillery.

portwoodAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176940657289976265.post-11275158705604229082014-12-14T07:55:38.320-04:002014-12-14T07:55:38.320-04:00Thanks and welcome to the blog. Thanks and welcome to the blog.Jason Deblyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13305087714773608306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176940657289976265.post-17065134053972550672014-12-14T07:55:18.275-04:002014-12-14T07:55:18.275-04:00Exactly!Exactly!Jason Deblyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13305087714773608306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176940657289976265.post-70291876461191494532014-12-14T03:40:11.809-04:002014-12-14T03:40:11.809-04:00Right on, Jason! Apparently, age is only a number on a bottle, unless that number is 18($230), 25($850), or 309$1200); then that number matters VERY MUCH.Andrewnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8176940657289976265.post-43353926826746761682014-12-14T01:06:46.563-04:002014-12-14T01:06:46.563-04:00I couldn't have said it better myself.I couldn't have said it better myself. dmbrown89https://www.blogger.com/profile/05972903835717121556noreply@blogger.com
