Nose
Brown sugar, spices, burnt toast.
Palate
Rounded texture, thick, saddle leather, sweet caramel, toffee, dark sticky rum cake.
Finish
Deep cacao, dark chocolate and and slightly drying with kitchen spices.
General Impressions
Highly recommended. A bit sweet but still very good!

Have you tried Lemon Hart 151 Proof rum? You're very lucky to have it in Nova Scotia...

There are some aged rums that don't have sugar added. My favorite is Appleton estate 12 for lower budget but great flavor. The best is Appleton Estate 21 year maybe one of the best fine spirits period. Mount Gay XO is also good and again not too sweet as no sugar added and reasonable price.

Have you tried Santa Teresa 1796 Solera rum from Venezuela ?. I do hope this Santa has some Sweet Tooth for me, as for a dessert drinker type.
