Nice review of a lovely whisky! Lagavulin 16 is one of my absolute favorites. I can't adequately describe why, but there is just something special about it that keeps me reaching for it on special occasions.
I enjoyed the video format of the review. I think it allows for a bit more nuance in your discussion.
I have more videos posted on YouTube and there is no pesky advertising as it is a non-profit channel. Check it out and thank you for taking the time to comment!
Jason, I very much appreciated your revisit of Lagavulin 16. As one who is always cautious with too much peat, I initially approached it some months ago with a level of apprehension. But at the behest of a good friend of mine, & an older review you did, bought a bottle, I have not turned back since’. It has quickly reason to be one of my favorite Scotch whiskey‘s. I agree with all of your sentiments, and cannot recommend enough to drink it neat. As always, thank you for your astute commentary.

ReplyDeleteLike you, I am not a big peat head. I like a little peat but not overwhelming as is often the case with Ardbeg and Laphroaig.
